Season 7 Champions Crowned!

The build up to season 7 was another hype train! Videos and Snapshots of the preseason testing suggested we were going to have one hell of a season, and did we ever.

All 3x categories on paper were the strongest we had seen and it was shaping up to be a season which would be close throughout.

In the PRO category it came down to the wire with several drivers in with a chance of snatching the title. Pete Harrod led the way with a small 17pnt gap to George McLay going in to the final round. Closely followed by Ross MacFarlane, Oscar Mangen, Ben Palmer, Mark Fletcher, Michael Evdoka and Lewis Bibby. Pete Harrod managed to maintain his lead and with a solid final meeting won the drivers title by just 16pnts.

The PRO teams title throughout the entire season was a 2 horse race. Texense FitzSty Motorsports consistent results piloted by Micahel Evdoka, Mark Fletcher and Ross MacFarlane secured the teams title by 276pnts to a hard charging Simsports Racing USA.

The Pro-AM driver category was probably the closest of the season, with the Top 10 drivers hardly separated throughout. Michael Horder led the way by 79pnts, closely followed by a bunched up Matt Bunn, Ethan Bass, Michael Gray, Mark Woodhouse, Ashley Beard, Simon Field, John Roberts and Simon Underhill. No-body could guess who would come out as the top 3. After 3x intense races and great consistency from Michael Horder, he came out on top and crowned Pro-AM champion, closely followed by Matt Bunn and Mark Woodhouse.

The AM driver category was another close affair. Craig Jones, Lars Van Rijn and Carl Jacolette, Matty Draycott and Keith Bolland began pulling away from the rest of the field and at the mid point in the season and what ensued was a fantastic week on week battle. After some solid results Craig Jones was crowned champion with an 82pnt lead, closely followed by Lars Van Rijn and Carl Jacolette.

The PRO-AM team championship was dominated by a very strong performance from BoosTED Motorsport. Driven by John Roberts, Mike Horder and Simon Field they managed to maintain their leading position going into the final round and were able to convert this into the teams title with a 783pnt lead!

A big thank you to all the drivers, the stewards, the media team and of course our sponsors for supporting the series. Without you it wouldn’t happen. Season 8 sign ups will be open shortly. We hope to see on the grid in the not to distant future!
