With the registration phase for Season Six closing earlier this week the next season is almost upon us. A record breaking 96 entries have been recorded by the organisers with a mix of familiar faces and a warm welcome to those who are new to the series.

Most notable is that the cars entrants have chosen is heavily skewed with BMW M8 GTE being the most favorable choice, this follows the trend that it’s by far the most popular car in the iRacing GT World Championship this year.
As the entry list exceeded the 60 entries mark, drivers and teams will now need to take part in a Pre-Qualifying round to enter this seasons championship. The Pre-Qualifying will be run over five consecutive days in fixed weather conditions where drivers have the opportunity to complete eight laps across two sessions. Their fastest lap-time will be taken and the top 60 drivers will be invited to join for Season Six.
The track that will be used for the Pre-Qualifying will be one of these four tracks:
1) Watkins Classic Boot
2) Monza GP
3) Road America Full Course
4) Spa GP
A live draw is taking place to finalise which track will be used, this will be taking place on the Saturday 22nd June at 8pm GMT+1. Be sure to tune in!
Pre-Qualifying commences from Monday 24th to Friday 28th June each night at 8pm GMT+1
